LHR Horse & Cattle Company: Our Horses

The horse: Here is nobility without conceit, friendship without envy, beauty without vanity. A willing servant yet never a slave.”

Ronald Duncan

Here is our line up of barrel horses, ranch horses and our breeding herd.

KPS Brass N Ashes (Jake)

Ashes in the Fire x Brassy Bugs, Born 2003

KPS Brass N Ashes, “Jake” came to me in the winter of 2009. He was 6 years old. I had been running his paternal brother, Poverty’s Barney since 2005, and wanted another Ashes.

Jake was bred and raised by Keith & Peggy Sorensen who owned, Ashes in The Fire. Jacob was a late bloomer in maturity, but when we finally clicked as a team, we never looked back. He is well known for his giant frame and his sensitive soul and his signature style.

Jake has numerous rodeo wins and 1D stats. He is our patriarch of our program.

TS Tres Shota Fame (Robin)

Tres My Fame x TS Shota Sugar (2016)

TS Tres Shota Fame, “Robin” came to the ranch in May of 2020. Hannah had traveled up to Sam Flannery for a day at her ranch to get some tuning and training with her other horse, Bryan. Bryan got to a point in the day where he was done and needed a break, so Sam put Hannah on Robin. It was a match from the start.

Robin was bred by Treasure States Quarter Horses who own Tres My Fame. Robin came to the FL when she was just a two year old, and was raised and trained by Samantha. We are happy to represent both Flannery Barrel Horses and Treasure States Quarter Horses. Robin is in her futurity year for 2021, and so far with limited outs, she’s showing her potential!

Flashin Lil Ditty (Ditty)

CS Flashlight x JD Lil Red (2016)

Flashin Lil Ditty, “Ditty” came to the ranch in Spring of 2020 originally for us to just ride and start for Joe & Michelle Stobbe. Lukas liked him, and he stayed.

He was ranched on and used by Lukas for most of the summer of 2020, and then in the fall he went to be started on the pattern with Sam Flannery and Cassy Woodward.

He came back to Hannah in the fall of 2020, and barrel racing his his chosen career. Ditty is gritty and kind, and tries 110% every time. We can’t wait to see how his futurity year progresses!

SOLD. We wish Ditty’s new jockey ‘s the best of luck and wish him all the best!

Mr Six Diamonds (Bryan)

Four Six Jess x Diamond N Sandy Dun (2016)

Mr Six Diamonds, “Bryan” is a 5 year old dun gelding we purchased in the winter of 2019. We his color and liked that his grand daddy was Mr Jess Perry!

Lukas started Bryan as a 3 year old in April of 2019, and in the fall of 2019, Hannah started him on the pattern. In May of 2020, he went to spend some time with Sam Flannery for more riding and finesse.

He will be ridden at the late summer futurities and continued to be seasoned. We have high hopes for Bryan to make it as a rodeo horse as he is sure footed and tough.

SOLD–We wish Dalley Stueck the best of luck in 2023 and beyond with Bryan! We can’t wait to see your success!

Dusters Tiger Dixie (Dixie)

Dusters Tiger Lad (Dusters Berty) X NR Dixie Hancock (2010)

Dixie is owned by Trevor Kahr of Bladen, NE. With that being said, she’s lived with us since she was a 3 year old. Dixie is the all around horse at our house, and is cute to look at while doing it! She’s out of the well known Nebraska raised roping stud, Dusters Tiger Lad. She does it all.

Last year, when Jake was hurt, Dixie even stepped it up for Hannah at some rodeos. She is a excellent ranch horse, heeling horse and part time barrel horse.

We hope to breed Dixie and out cross her on some nice running studs soon!

Reggie The Pony

In Memory

Reggie the Pony was the pony of Rodey & Ransom Rupprecht. He didn’t really do much except go on adventures with the boys. We are grateful the time we had with Reggie!

Lukas and I don’t know what a life is without horses. We hope to bless others with what they have brought to us.
